About Christie

I am a contemporary impressionistic painter living in Mississippi. Working out of my sun-filled studio, I use oil paint to capture the effect of color and light in nature.

Painting for me is a way to express the beauty I see in the world. I most enjoy painting the human figure - my favorite subjects are children playing on the beach - and I strive to capture the essence of each child‘s personality on my canvas. I view each painting as a journey to create something my client can treasure for a lifetime.

Through my art, I hope to bring some color and light into your life - a bit of the beauty I see around me. Artwork has a way of communicating emotions that words cannot… I hope that my pieces communicate a feeling of peace and contentment.

My color palette has softened over the years, along with my view of everything around me. Life has a way of softening us, doesn’t it? Painting is a lot like life - it’s a growth process full of highs and lows, tests and turns - and I absolutely can’t wait to see what the future holds!
